It’s rare to see one of these during the day, and I almost didn’t. This guy was perfectly camouflaged, hanging on to the bottom of the weathered gate to my raised vegetable beds.
I got down to eye-level to spend some time with him. He was very still, and seemed to be watching me watch him. I took a few photos and left him in peace.
